Base pay is $0.60 per mile. On top of that, every company driver is eligible for a $0.05 per mile monthly safety bonus, which is not handed out based on who the dispatcher likes. It's tied to defined criteria: safety scores, claims history, hours-of-service violations, inspection results, completed training and corrective actions.
Seniority pays too. Through the Loyalty pillar of our LIFE program, drivers earn an additional $0.01 per mile for every year of service. Stay, and your rate climbs on its own.

For context: ATRI's most recent driver survey found adequate compensation is the top concern among professional drivers, and ATA's last full compensation study put median truckload driver pay at $76,420 a year. At 2,000 weekly miles and $0.60 a mile before bonuses, that puts our base pay in the same range, with the safety bonus and seniority pay stacking on top of it.
